Math Plus Warm Up: The Red And The Blue Button

Give one or two warm up problems at beginning of every math class. Encourage students' discussions and be open minded to different possible answers.

Answer:
It is a logical paradox. If we suppose that the red button is telling the truth, then the statement written on the blue button should be true, which means that the statement on the red button should be false i.e the red button is lying. To the similar contradiction we can arrive if we suppose that the red button is lying, or the blue button is telling the truth, or the blue button is lying. So, neither the red nor blue button is neither telling the truth nor it is lying.
